Proof Positive MORONS Running NUST

Yes, I am talking about the National University of Science and Technology.

Now get this: Yesterday they put out a news release (and put some effort into publicizing it as it appeared in a lot of places) proudly proclaiming they “intended to hire services (of an outside firm) for the conversion of their existing website into a world-class web portal that would facilitate the students, teachers, alumni and the administrative staff.” They added:

The main objective of this web portal is to have a world class recognition that will reflect the international standing of NUST with respect to Academics, Research and University Industry relationship through a complete web-solution having user-friendly interface and navigation.

[How does a company named E-Solutions-Pakistan with CEO Ahsan Ahmed end up being an “offshore” firm is beyond me 🙂 Probably this Ahsan fella is the some of some crooked politician or crooked general]
ESOLPK (Pvt.) Ltd. an offshore software and web development outscoring firm in Islamabad has performed study on the existing websites of NUST and its constituent institutes, colleges, schools and centers and has proposed the best possible architecture for the University Web Portal.

[Observe the advert for Microsoft:]
The technical team at ESOLPK proposed the MS SharePoint technology to proceed with the Portal development. For a
university as large as NUST, with several institutes, colleges, schools and centers, which provide unique educational services to students, a technology as established as SharePint promises best results with options to enhance in future.

[End advert] 🙂

This portal will ensure thee[sic] impressive projection of NUST through web as well as attract new students & research scholars in Pakistan and worldwide.

Did not a single MORON scientist or big techie at NUST realize HOW FREAKING STUPID THIS IS? Instead of announcing it proudly, they should be hiding their faces in SHAME (better yet, committing collective harakiri) for what what they are admitting to is that with ALL their faculty with PhD’s in technical fields and their whole science and technology student body (remember this place offers PhDs in Engineering & IT, Medical Sciences, Business Administration, and Mathematics and Physics too besides Undergraduate and Masters degrees) CAN NOT BUILD A SIMPLE FREAKING WEB PORTAL!!!

Now that’s “thee[sic] impressive projection of NUST through web” that I have ever seen and I am sure it will “attract new students & research scholars in Pakistan and worldwide” 😛

Greeks Bearing Gifts: Pakistan, US Sign Wind Power Generation Project

Another Rs.32 billion (~$360 million) down the drain? Of course the spin is “the project will save Pakistan $45 million per year in fuel cost”. What about saving the whole $360 million plus operating costs?

But why the sudden interest in this experimental, expensive (non) solution when better, much cheaper alternatives are available? Are we going to be the beneficiaries or is it going to be someone else?

Is it any surprise that this comes when the wind turbine industry itself is failing? Could it be that the real beneficiaries are some of these companies? Could it be we don’t think the Queen has made enough money on this scam yet?

(If we are going to go this route, ‘Why not manufacture wind turbines in Pakistan‘ is certainly a valid question to ask…)

WikiLies: WikiLeaks BUSTED!

CIA/MOSSAD Smooth Operator?

Question is: “Was it ‘suicided’?.

Well not intentionally. All these years it built ‘credibility’ so it can pass the BIG LIES hoping they would pass through and be accepted. Well, the first big one it tried has fallen FLAT ON IT’S FACE. And there is no longer any question that this whole saga is a false flag spearheaded by Mr. Assange.

Wiki-Leaks is Israel

Now “Wiki-Leaks” is busy selling phony bin Laden stories, having the long dead Osama humiliating the CIA by running around villages in Afghanistan selling vacuum cleaners. What is our “leak” site really about? This is a dead news cycle. The World Cup is over, lots of people on holiday and no major stories. Only in a dead news period like this, as Oliver Stone pointed out, could the Israeli controlled media dump a pile of lame rumors mixed in with box loads of chickenfeed, passing it off as the story of the century.

Wiki “Leaks” – The final word?

“WikiLeaks is lame. Even the cover story, the mysterious Assange fleeing the murderous CIA, working to save the world is lame. Please, everyone, go to the site and read everything there. I have seen more confidential information on a weather report… When you read Mr. Assange’s output, you are looking at one of the Mossad games, nothing more… The game today is using Wikileaks, given its 15 minutes of fame for trashing the US in Iraq with the helicopter video, to spread imaginary stories about Pakistan, the only nuclear power in the Middle East capable of standing up to Israel, and the enemy of India”

Wikileaks + MSM Hype = ?

Ladies & gentlemen, welcome to the 40th episode of New World Next Week – the video series from CorbettReport.com & MediaMonarchy.com. This week we look exclusively at the massive media hype surrounding Wikileaks, wider wars & the future of the web.

The Political Spinning of the WikiLeaks Release: Anti-war Whistleblowing or War Propaganda?

Since the release of classified US military papers by WikiLeaks, the material has been aggressively spun by various political factions. Meanwhile, virtually no attention has been devoted to investigating the source of this “leak”, or questioning the agenda behind it.

Assange’s MSM pals: How the papers got the leaks

Davies contacted people close to WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange and found out he was scheduled to speak before European parliament on June 21. Davies met with Assange and said he would offer a team of researchers to identify stories in the documents.
On June 22, during a six-hour coffee-soaked meeting in a Brussels cafĂ©, Davies says Assange suggested another idea — that The Guardian and The New York Times be given an advance look at some information the site had on the Afghanistan war, with each paper publishing its own take on the documents. Within the next 24 rs, Davies says Assange told him Der Spiegel should be included as well.

[Funny that such a ‘top secret’/’cloak-and-dagger’ operation where CIA is supposedly hunting down Assange. Mr Assange is holding speaking engagements and sharing the big find with MSM. So much for the ‘leak’, But it gets better:]

New York Times reporters met with White House before publishing WikiLeaks story

The White House was very upset with WikiLeaks for its decision to publish thousands of pages of classified reports and documents describing our mission in Afghanistan. But according to Yahoo’s Michael Calderone, it was very pleased with how the New York Times dealt with its semi-exclusive access to the documents.

Wikileaks’ estranged co-founder becomes a critic

Cryptome’s history of publicizing leaks–while not yielding to pressure to remove them–is what led Young to be invited to join Wikileaks before its launch over three years ago. He also agreed to be the public face of the organization by listing his name on the domain name registration.

Operating a Web site to post leaked documents isn’t very expensive (Young estimates he spends a little over $100 a month for Cryptome’s server space). So when other Wikileaks founders started to talk about the need to raise $5 million and complained that an initial round of publicity had affected “our delicate negotiations with the Open Society Institute and other funding bodies,” Young says, he resigned from the effort.

WIKILEAKS WORKS FOR THE CIA AND MOSSAD?

In January 2007, John Young, who runs cryptome.org, left Wikileaks, claiming the operation was a CIA front.

Asian intelligence sources reportedly state that: “Wikileaks is running a disinformation campaign, crying persecution by U.S. intelligence- when it is U.S. intelligence itself.” (Soros & co back wikileaks / kosher mob & oval office)

Wikileaks founder dismissess 9-11 “conspiracy” theories.

What about 9/11? “I’m constantly annoyed that people are distracted by false conspiracies such as 9/11, when all around we provide evidence of real conspiracies, for war or mass financial fraud.”

WikiLeaks – What Leaks?

Uh-O. Lookee here….Wikileaks ‘reveal’ that Bin Laden was being tracked through Pakistan:

“In August 2006, a US intelligence report placed Bin Laden at a meeting in Quetta, over the border in Pakistan. It said he and others – including the Taliban leader, Mullah Omar – were organising suicide attacks in Afghanistan.”

So there it is. That evil fiend, Bin Laden, is not dead (as most people who follow the information believe). He is alive and well and organising Al Qaeda, or is it the Taliban, to carry out suicide bombings against our boys in Afghanistan.

Well, now we know.

Don’t we?

Leaky Vessels: Wikileaks “Revelations” Will Comfort Warmongers, Confirm Conventional Wisdom

Ah, here we get down to it. Here’s metal more attractive for our militarists. The treachery of Iran is a constant theme in the leakage — both in the raw, unsifted, uncorroborated “humint” and in the diplomatic cables of puzzled occupiers who cannot fathom why there should be any opposition to their enlightened rule. It must the fault of those perfidious Persians!

Some interesting observations over at http://kennysideshow.blogspot.com/

I have to say, this whole thing strikes me as very convenient. That it is all over the MSM raises all kinds of red flags in my book.

BUT WHY? WHAT’S THE WHOLE PURPOSE BEHIND IT??

Wikileaks Docs Target Pakistan

Not long after Wikileaks dumped tens of thousands of classified Afghanistan “war” documents into the public arena for consumption, the corporate media zoomed in on Pakistan. “WikiLeaks documents released Sunday shine a spotlight on Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence, a spy agency that has been accused for years of having links to terrorist groups,” writes the Wall Street Journal.

Pakistan Warned; Noose Being Tightened

All the media slender that has unleashed after your opening salvo from the Pakistan soil is no less than a diplomatic terrorism; through your statements, you have tried to intimidate the people of Pakistan. You are proving a bigger terrorists, Osama is not even a shadow of yours if he was a terrorist. After your opening round the rest of the guns fired like at the Normandy landings, all well planned and rehearsed. There is no slip of even a coma or a full stop in their texts.

What is mind boggling that you as first lady of America could not spot Monica Lewinsky playing games with Bill Clinton right under your nose in the Whitehouse basement but you had a very sharp vision to locate Osama in the mountains of Pakistan where even mules can’t reach. Lady you must remember that it has been your state office and other agencies that have been releasing statements about Osama’s death. Now how all of a sudden you have brought to life the carcass that has been moth and worm eaten if any pieces were left after Daisy Cutters that must have blown him into dust or at best he could have been buried somewhere deep in the hills of Tora Bora. Bravo Lady Clinton bravo.

UPDATE:
Couple of ‘sensational’ stories that have come out since:

Newsweek: How Pakistan Helps the Taliban
[Funny thing is this one is suggesting ‘Pakistan is SO bad, even Taliban hate them]

The Globe and Mail: The huge scale of Pakistan’s complicity
“Thanks to WikiLeaks, the involvement of Inter-Services Intelligence in the Afghan conflict is now obvious, argues Chris Alexander, Canada’s former ambassador to Afghanistan”

And this one below deserves special attention (again courtesy of Newsweek:

Deny This: 4,500 US Special Forces Soldiers In Pakistan

But you know they will. In the coming days you will be denials/spin from every corner. Zardari will deny it. Gilani will deny it. Qureshi will deny it. Kiyani will deny it. ISPR will deny it. Foreign Office will deny it. American Ambassador will deny it. Maybe even Robert Gates will deny it. But you know they will once again be proving themselves to be lying sacks of horse manure.

The figure comes to us from this story:

Obama secretly deploys US special forces to 75 countries across world

It states:

Of about 13,000 US special forces deployed overseas, about 9,000 are evenly divided between Afghanistan and Pakistan. Their use, and the increase in drone attacks, is a strategy that has been strongly advocated by Joe Biden, the Vice-President, but criticised by the governments of Pakistan and Afghanistan. Hundreds of civilians have died in special operations A report last week revealed that the top US commander in the Middle East had signed an order last September authorising a big expansion of clandestine military missions in the region, and also in Iran, Saudi Arabia and Somalia.

General David Petraeus signed the Joint Unconventional Warfare Task Force Executive Order on September 30. In the three months that followed there was a surge of special operations troops into Yemen, where US operatives are now training local forces.

But don’t say I didn’t tell you about them being over here months ago. This is yet another confirmation from the Devil’s mouth himself.

BTW: Isn’t it the same Joe Biden who was given Hilal-i-Pakistan medal by Zardari? And isn’t it the same General Petreaus in whose lap we find Kiyani almost every week (i.e. when they are not out on secret dates on the high seas)?

McChrystal discusses Pak-Afghan border with Kayani

It is always interesting to see the posture of our 'leaders' in front of their Masa

RAWALPINDI: Ahead of the massive US military offensive in Afghan province of Helmand, Pakistan’s top military leadership made it clear that all US actions should remain on the Afghan side of the border and intelligence information should be shared with Pakistani security forces.

Talking to US National Security Advisor James Jones and ISAF Commander in Kabul General Stanley A. McChrystal separately at GHQ in Rawalpindi, General Kayani said sacrifices rendered by Pakistani security forces are much higher than what the coalition forces suffered in Afghanistan.

Kayani briefed the defence officials about progress in the South Waziristan operation and asked for an increase in check posts on other side of the border for strict vigilance on the movement of militants.

Both top defence officials lauded role of Pakistani security forces in the fight against terrorism.

NATO Plays the ‘Good Cop’

NATO Has no Mandate to Stop the Drone Attacks inside Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Chairman of the NATO Military Committee, Admiral Giampaolo Di Paola, has said that NATO has no mandate to stop the drone attacks inside Pakistani territory as they were being carried out by he United States.

Di Paola, who is in Islamabad on an official visit in which he met top military brass of the country, told a news conference here Thursday that Pakistan has a right to “protest over the drone attacks” on its land. He claimed that the relations between Pakistan and NATO will not be kept restricted only to cooperation on Afghanistan and vowed to “achieve victory over militants”in the region with the help of the governments and people of the two countries.

Di Paola further claimed that the NATO forces will leave the region once they achieved “their objectives”, saying that his forces have no ambition to “conquer Afghanistan like Alexander the Great”.

Of course the mvtherfvcker thinks we don’t know he gets his paycheck from the “President” of NATO, the main “partner” of NATO — the “Bad Cop” U.S. (It is called “NATO” and NOT “EUTO” for a reason…

The World Doesn’t Have a Pakistan Nukes Problem
It Has a David Albright Problem

By Peter Lee

Counterpunch As AFP tells us, the Institute for Science and International Security just published a report on Pakistan’s nuclear program that seems designed to pour gasoline on the “the Pakistani nuclear program is outta control” story.

And, when you look at the story, there isn’t a whole lot of there there.

The commercial [satellite] images reveal a major expansion of a chemical plant complex near Dera Ghazi Khan that produces uranium hexalfuoride and uranium metal, materials used to produce nuclear weapons.

Big whoop, I must say. The Pakistanis love their nuclear weapons, and it’s not surprising—as a sovereign state outside the NPT—they might decide to make some more.

Winter Patriot on Pakistan

Thoughts On The War Between The USA And Pakistan

Scrub towers in the distance,
Riders cross the blasted moor
Against the horizon.
Fickle promises of treaty,
Fatal harbingers of war;
Futile orizons

Signs and omens, suddenly everywhere, tell us war between the USA and Pakistan is imminent.

Chris Floyd has been doing his usual fine job in covering the recent developments and reading the tea leaves. Particularly disappointing is the flow of war propaganda from McClatchy, in the person of Jonathan Landay. McClatchy and Landay were among the few voices of skeptical reason on the national media scene during Bush’s pre-Iraq propaganda campaign. But apparently they are now on board with Obama’s pre-Pakistan propaganda campaign. Success at last! This must be the change we were hoping for, just as Obama’s marketers promised! Screwing with Iran at Their Master’s Behest

Blood is seen on the ceiling inside the mosque after an explosion in Zahedan, Iran.

Blood is seen on the ceiling inside the mosque after an explosion in Zahedan, Iran.

Iran hanged three men accused of involvement in the bomb blast Thursday at the mosque in Zahedan, which left as many as 25 dead and 125 injured.

Of course Jundullah had claimed responsibility for the blast and it is no secret who is backing that group that is based in Pakistan and it’s soul purpose is to carry out terrorist activities in Iran. According to ABC News:

A Pakistani tribal militant group responsible for a series of deadly guerrilla raids inside Iran has been secretly encouraged and advised by American officials since 2005, U.S. and Pakistani intelligence sources tell ABC News.

No wonder then that Iran summoned the Pakistani ambassador over the incident and “strongly voiced its protest at and deep concern about the illegal activities of the terrorist group along the joint borders of Iran and Pakistan,” IRNA reported.

Pakistan: All Chaos on the Western Front

Editorial, The Guardian, Friday 29 May 2009

Pakistan, a country synonymous with political upheaval, military coups and social unrest, is facing one of its most critical tests. Having fought and ousted the Taliban from cities in the settled areas of the North-West Frontier Province, like Buner and Swat, the army is about to launch the most difficult part of its offensive. This will be in the tribal areas and in mountainous terrain naturally suited to the hit-and-run tactics of the militants. Faced with a determination that the army has not shown against them in past campaigns, the Taliban have not proved to be the formidable fighting force they were once feared to be – on the plains at least. They have been pushed back with relative ease. Continue reading ‘Pakistan: All Chaos on the Western Front’

The Writing on the Wall for Obama’s ‘Af-Pak’ Vietnam

May 13, 2009

There was something almost painful about watching President Barack Obama last week reprising a track from his predecessor’s Greatest Hits when he hosted the leaders of Pakistan and Afghanistan. Just like Bush, Obama invited us to suspend well-grounded disbelief and imagine that Hamid Karzai and Asif Ali Zardari have the intent, much less the capability, to wage a successful war against the Taliban. Then again, there had been something painful even earlier about watching Obama proclaim Afghanistan as “the right war” and expanding the U.S. footprint there, reprising the Soviet experience of maintaining an islet of modernity in the capital while the countryside burns. Continue reading ‘The Writing on the Wall for Obama’s ‘Af-Pak’ Vietnam’
